I lost some checks and I'm concerned that someone might write a check or do an automatic ACH payment with the routing number and account number. Are banks usually willing to issue new numbers linked to the same account? Does this cost a lot of money? Thanks so much.

It can most definitely be done. Go to your bank and let them know. it costs the amount for a new check order, which you must do from time to time.
