Well Alfonso XIII was the King of Spain up to the Spanish Civil War, he ruled from1886-1931. Coin jewelry is a very common thing and they may have been linked as a bracelet. A lot of coin jewelry is made made of copy coins and not the real item, however I have seen a lot of coin bracelets with real coins that date back to the 1800's.
