Why does my laptop type so slow? Linked to pop ups?

My pc has started to play up typing, i have to type real slow and it misses letters. Ive had problems with pop ups from microbillsys which has just a line of random letters typed on it, making no sense. Could it be linked? Ive ran norton and antispyware, what can i do?
