Reply:Yes, even before the vehicle and driver has been pulled over they can now check, Insurance, Tax, MOT and make sure the Driver has the correct licence to drive that vehicle.





All insurance companies as now connected to a central database, one of the users of that database is the Police.





So at any given time a user of the database can check the vehicle is insured, it will also give named drivers on teh policy and other info.
