Hello, i currently study Human Biology in school and have my exam around the corner.
A major section is about genetics and about pedigrees. A lot of questions will involve looking a pedigree/family tree and analyzing it and deciding if it is Autosomal/Sex-Linked and Dominant/Recessive.
Is there a quick way of working this out?
THANKS!
A quick metehod of analyzing a pedigree in genetics? Autosomal..sex-linked..dominan... or recessive etc.?
Learn it then you'll know it, then you can do it quickly.
Reply:The way I determine inheritance is to work backward, which means that I go through each category of inheritance and pretend that's what the mode is. The process of elimination works well for me, and it shouldn't take too long with practice. Good luck.
