Have you ever wondered if the Origin of Twinkies was or was not linked to hot dogs?
I knew this because I love Twinkies!! One of my favorite ways to eat Twinkies is with fresh strawberries, cool whip, and chocolate syrup. I make a strawberry short cake out of it. Sooo Good!!!

Reply:Nope. My mom used to buy Twinkies and when I'd go over there I'd eat a few. Then on her 81st birthday we had Twinkies and ice cream for dessert. I was good.


Whenever we go on a vacation I have to have a box of Twinkies to start off the trip.
Reply:I agree, it is an interesting article. I never gave any thought to how and why Twinkies were developed, but this makes sense. Someone had a keen business mind to make additional use of the shortcake recipe.

Reply:Yes, very interesting article. I, however, still like the lemon filled or stuffed donuts that just smelling one gains me an extra 15 pounds. Never mind eating one although I would loved to, my cholesterol would rocket to the next galaxy.


Twinkies just never filled me as well as those lemon filled jobs. Now if they started making Twinkies with different fillings I might be tempted to buy a few hundred pounds?(wink)
