It sounds like it is exactly what it is saying. A bunch of people from 2 very different worlds, got together and made one new one. And 2 worlds doesn't have to mean someone from china and someone from jamaca. it could also mean that they were from 2 political worlds,2 society worlds, 2 different relious worlds.
