I have a primary yahoo account that is linked to my AT&T account?

I have a primary yahoo account that is linked to my AT%26amp;T account, but my AT%26amp;T yahoo account has been made inactive. As a result, I can not access my yahoo messenger for browneyedbeauti1972. How can I "unlink" the two so that I can access messenger?
