When studying a pedigree , how do scientist determine if a trait is sex-linked or autosomal?
1. if it seems to occur mainly in one sex then it is sex linked...if it is pretty close to an even split, it is proly autosomal





2. if it skips a generation it is most positively recessive...if it shows in every single generation then it is dominant
